So here we are. After numerous EPs, mixtapes, and whathaveyous we've arrived at what I'm declaring my first official album. I've been writing hip-hop in the form of lyrics for over a decade at this point in time. It quickly evolved from "let's see if I can do this" at age 13 to the borderline all-consuming passion it is now. Around five years ago I created my first instrumental. It was nothing impressive. Two lines of synth and a standard boom-pap drumline. For the most part I left the producing to Awkword P or any of the other amazingly talented producers it's been my pleasure to work with (I mean it when I say "with" because I always feel the need to obtain the producer's stamp of approval before proceeding with a song, more often than not working directly with them on the development of a track).

This time around I decided I wanted to lend my hand to the making of the music, not just the poetry. I really delved into it, leaning heavily on my background in piano (I am now very thankful for the mandatory 7am practices I endured for most of my childhood). As a result, over half this album produced by yours truly. Originally it was released as an EP that was entirely self-produced. But I found myself working with others and a few tracks got finished up that I didn't want people to skate over as standalone singles. I expanded the project to a full album and here we are. I'm proud of the end result and I hope you enjoy.
